What A Big Boy

Houston has lots of news to share with you.

First, I will start with a leggie update. Houston received his permanent leggie on Thursday afternoon. A few adjustments had to be made, but it seems to fit well now. Houston has PT with Ms. Stacy three times a week. In the past two weeks, he has already learned how to do lots of things while wearing his prosthesis ..... crawling, pulling up, standing without holding on to anything, cruising around furniture, and transitioning from one piece of furniture to the next piece. Now that he has two legs to stand on, it also means that he has two hands to touch things.

Here are Houston's latest big boy milestones. In the past week, Houston said good-bye to his bottles and pacifiers. He didn't mind the bottles, but the pacifiers resulted in a few tears. We are day three of no passies, and he is doing really well now. Houston also went to nursery during church yesterday. It was not a big hit! We will see how next Sunday goes.
